Madison police search for armed robbery suspects

 Two men were robbed at gunpoint at a Madison hotel late Thursday night, according to the Madison Police Department. 

The incident happened on the 4700 block of Hayes Road just before 11 p.m.

Police said two armed suspects, one with a gun and the other with a knife, took "personal property" from the two men. The victims were not hurt, but were restrained.

Authorities are now searching for the suspects.

  • Suspect #1: Black man, between 35-40-years-old, around 5 feet 10 inches tall, stocky build. At the time of the crime he was wearing a red tank top and was armed with a knife.
  • Suspect #2: Black man, late 20s to early 30s, 6 feet tall, thin build. During the robbery he was wearing a black tank top, blue shorts and was armed with a black handgun. 

The investigation is ongoing.
