MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison officials say the tornado sirens that went off on the west side of the city Monday morning were an error.
Sirens began to sound at about 5 a.m., concerning many residents.
Tim Hillebrand from Dane County Emergency Management said the sirens were an error.
Hillebrand said the problem seemed to be fixed by about 7 a.m.
Crews are still working to determine what went wrong.
