Dane County lakes under slow, no wake restriction

UPDATE (WKOW) --  Lake Kegonsa has been added to the list of lakes under a slow, no wake restriction.

The entire surface of Lake Kegonsa is under the restriction as of Thursday. It is in addition to Lakes Mendota, Monona and Waubesa, which were put under the restriction earlier in the day.

Lake Monona and Waubesa have just surpassed the 100 year flood level, according to the Dane County Executive's Office.

The high water and swift current in the Yahara River between Lakes Mendota and Monona has forced the closure of the Tenney Park locks, according to John Reimer of Dane County Land and Water Resources.

This closure will remain in effect through Sunday.
