TOWN OF ROXBURY (WKOW) -- A driver was taken to the hospital after deputies say his car ran into the back of a tractor pulling a hay trailer.
The crash happened around 6:15 p.m. Monday along Highway 12 near Herbrand Road in the Town of Roxbury.
The Dane County Sheriff's Office says the tractor was in the left lane and was slowing to make a left turn when it was hit by the car. Deputies say the driver of the car didn't see the tractor directly ahead of him.
The driver of the car, a 40-year-old man from Waunakee, was taken to the hospital with significant, but not life-threatening injuries. Deputies say he'll be cited for inattentive driving.
The driver of the tractor was not hurt.
