Second-coldest November in 20 years continues

MADISON (WKOW) – Compared to recent history, it’s been a very cold November. Temps are running more than 7° below average.

The only other November in the past two decades that has been colder than this one occurred in 2014 with an average temp of 30.1°. Our average temp this month has been 32°.

While temps will struggle to get above 30° today, we’ll be treated to more sunshine than yesterday. Winds will be a factor, however, turning from the NW to WSW at 5-15 mph. This will restrict afternoon wind chills to the upper teens and low 20s.

Wednesday looks dry, which is good for the busiest travel day of the year. However, it still looks cold with highs in the low 30s yet again.
