MERRIMAC (WKOW) — The Merrimac Ferry will close for the season this week.
Ice is forming on the Wisconsin River, so Wisconsin Department of Transportation officials plan to close the ferry for the winter on Friday, November 30 at 6 p.m.
The COLSAC III is a free shuttle across the Wisconsin River between Sauk and Columbia counties.
Ferry operations will resume in 2019, depending on conditions.
