Man stabbed in face during Madison fight

MADISON (WKOW) — Three men are in trouble after a fight broke out in Madison, sending two people to the hospital with injuries, according to the Madison Police Department.

A news release said the fight happened at about 9:40 p.m. on Thursday on North Hancock Street.

Two man got into an argument and one of the men tried to stab the other with a “sharp object.” The other grabbed “a different edged weapon” and used it during the fight.

A 32-year-old received cuts on his hand and stomach. He was taken to a hospital. A 39-year-old was stabbed in the face and abdomen area. He was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.

Police are recommending they be charged with second degree reckless endangering safety.

Authorities are also recommending a third man, 23, be charged with being a party to a crime of first degree reckless endangering safety. He allegedly helped the 32-year-old while the 39-year-old was being stabbed.
