A potential candidate for Madison mayor says she’s no longer running.
Brenda Konkel posted the update on her Facebook page Wednesday afternoon, saying she would not turn in her nomination papers.
She wrote, “This was a soul crushing decision for me to make, I really wanted to turn them in – but because TRC took so long to settle and so much was up in the air, it’s near impossible to put a viable campaign together with so many aldermanic races going on.”
Konkel was fired recently from TRC – or the Tenant Resource Center – where she worked as the executive director.
Konkel is a former city alder.
