Three arrested in Lafayette County meth bust at trailer park

Three people have been arrested in a LaFayette County trailer park and face charges of delivery of methamphetamines.

James J. Cubit, 39, Christopher D. Vinson, 31 and Nicole A. Ruch, 38, all of Platteville were arrested Thursday morning.

Cubit faces charges of felony Delivery of Methamphetamines, Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place and Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic. Cubit also faces a misdemeanor charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Vinson and Ruch face felony charges of Delivery of Methamphetamines, Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place and Child Neglect.

Both also face misdemeanor charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Vinson has also been charged with felony Bail Jumping.

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with and assisted by the Stateline Area Narcotics Task Force, executed a narcotics search warrant Thursday at a trailer in Evergreen Village Mobile Home Park in Belmont Township.

Deputies arrested three adults who were taken to the Lafayette County Jail where they remain in custody.

Two children were removed from the residence with the assistance of Lafayette County Human Services and have been placed with family.
