Suspect sought after missing man found dead in Sauk County

 Sauk County authorities are searching for a suspect in connection with the death of a man who had earlier been reported missing.

The Sauk County Sheriff’s office was notified about 11:15 a.m. Monday about a missing town of Delton man.

Deputies discovered the man dead in his vehicle about 1 p.m. in the parking lot behind the Ho-Chunk Casino and Convention Center. The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office says the death is suspicious and asked for help from the Wisconsin Department of Justice and state crime lab.

The death is considered a homicide. The identity of the victim has not been released yet.

The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office says they have identified a suspect – Robert M. Pulvermacher, 68, of rural Middleton. Pulvermacher is currently on community supervision with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Pulvermacher was last seen leaving the Ho-Chunk Casino parking lot at 12:59 a.m. Monday with an unknown, younger man. Police are searching for the younger man as a person of interest.

The sheriff’s office says Pulvermacher goes to casinos in Madison and Baraboo frequently, regularly playing table games like blackjack.

If you see Pulvermacher, you’re asked to call 911. Anyone with information on the identity of the younger man is asked to call Sauk County Crime Stoppers at (888) 847-7285.
