MADISON (WKOW) — Two juveniles were arrested early Monday morning for stealing a car from the city of Fitchburg, according to Madison police.
Police say not long after a vehicle was stolen in Fitchburg, Madison officers saw the vehicle on Mineral Point Road near Randolph Drive shortly after 12:30 a.m. As officers tried to stop the vehicle, it slid into a snow bank and the driver ran away.
The passenger was arrested on scene and officers followed foot prints in the snow to find the driver and arrest them, according to police.
The driver was charged with resisting arrest and theft of an automobile. The passenger was also arrested for charges related to the stolen automobile.
Both juveniles were taken to the Juvenile Reception Center.
