MADISON (WKOW) – Another major winter storm will bring treacherous travel conditions to Wisconsin tonight and tomorrow.
TODAY
Snow will continue falling through the day, though it will tend to be lighter and more intermittent. Expect a very difficult morning commute, and the evening commute will not be much better, as the long-lived nature of the snowstorm will make it hard for plows to stay ahead of it all.
Snow will wrap up by late evening or overnight at the latest.
TOTALS
Southeast Wisconsin can expect 4-7 inches of new snow. Southwest Wisconsin up through Madison and up to Fond Du Lac can pick up 6-8 inches and areas N&NW will get 8-10+ inches.
IMPACTS
Travel will be difficult beginning this evening and lasting until Tuesday night. With gusts up to 30 mph, blowing and drifting snow will be a concern, especially in rural areas. Winds will not ease up until midday Wednesday.
