Traffic is backed up on the interstate near the Beltline because of emergency repairs going on.
The Wisconsin DOT says southbound I-39/90 is restricted to one lane between and Beltline (US 12/18) and mile marker 145. There are significant delays in those two miles as crews work to repair the outside lane.
The eastbound Beltline ramp to the interstate is also closed and traffic is being detoured to the interstate via WIS 73.
