Madison police have arrested a woman for driving under the influence after an early morning crash injured a 10-year-old girl.
Joanna A. Phillips, 33, was arrested for operating while under the influence – third offense, with a minor in the vehicle and causing injury, according to an incident report from the Madison Police Department.
Witnesses, police said, saw the car driving fast and seemed to be racing another vehicle before the driver lost control and the car rolled over several times, taking out a light pole which had been in the middle of the causeway.
