Suspects arrested after posing as workers at Madison's Sylvee

MADISON (WKOW) — Two men were arrested at a Madison music venue after claiming to work there, attempting to steal items and reportedly pouring themselves drinks at the bar, according to the Madison Police Department.

Officers were called to The Sylvee on South Livingston Street at 12:03 a.m. Friday. An employee saw two people in the building who they didn’t think belonged there.

When police got to the venue they found the suspects, one with a stolen woman’s Sylvee t-shirt on, with electronics and other items that belonged to The Sylvee or a construction company working there.

Shane Duffy, 38, and Joseph Hernandez, 27, were arrested for burglary and taken to the Dane County Jail.
