An attorney for a key witness in the murder trial of Marshall’s Daniel Lieske says a deposit into the witness’ jail account after Lieske’s conviction played no role in what was said on the witness stand.
During Lieske’s trial for the killing of 21-year old Jesse Faber, Emmanuel Harris testified Lieske told him in a jailhouse conversation that he made-up claims of self-defense in the fatal shooting.
Lieske’s attorney claims Faber’s family deposited $80 into Harris’ jail account as payment for Harris’ alleged perjury.
