Police say one of the two people killed in a crash Monday near Portage was a suspect in a kidnapping and assault in the city of Schofield.
Just after midnight Sunday, officers responded to a report of battery in Schofield, according to a press release from the Everest Metro Police.
Police learned a woman had been beaten and forcefully taken from the scene by a man believed to be the woman’s boyfriend, authorities said.
