UPDATE (WKOW) — US 151 in Columbia County is back open hours after a deadly crash.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says the stretch near Highway V reopened shortly before 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. It had been closed since shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday.

UPDATE (WKOW) — A large cargo truck didn’t slow down for slower traffic in front of it, triggering a deadly chain-reaction crash, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said.
Two people were flown to hospitals, three others were taken by ambulances, according to authorities.

COLUMBIA COUNTY (WKOW) — One person is dead and two others are severely injured following a bad crash Tuesday.
At least five vehicles, including a large box truck, were severely damaged during a chain reaction crash on Highway 151, southwest of Columbus, during evening rush hour.
The crash happened just before 5 p.m. where Hwy 151 passes underneath Highway 73.
