The University of Wisconsin Athletics released an update on Badgers assistant men’s basketball coach Howard Moore and his son Jerell Monday night.
The statement said, “We are pleased to report that Coach Moore’s son, Jerell, has been released from the hospital and is in the care of family. We are further pleased to know that Coach Moore himself was up and walking at the hospital today. Please continue to keep the entire family in your thoughts and prayers.
Moore and his son survived a fatal car crash Saturday morning in Michigan. Moore’s wife and daughter were killed.
Police say a 23-year-old Ann Arbor woman driving the wrong way on M-14 near Ford Road in Washtenaw County’s Superior Township caused a head-on collision that killed her along with a woman and child in another vehicle.
