The Madison School Board will review whether the board president violated ethics rules when she cast a crucial vote in support of a contract with the city to keep police officers in the school district’s four high schools.
“The board takes its responsibility under its ethics policy seriously,” Board Vice Chair Kate Toews says. “Under that policy, the board is responsible for monitoring adherence to the code of ethics and will do so in this case. We will move quickly to ensure that responsibility is met.”
