UPDATE (WKOW) -- The bicyclist who died Saturday in a crash with an SUV in the town of Verona has been identified by the Dane County Medical Examiner.
Valerie R. Flogel, 56, Madison died from injuries sustained in the crash, according to the medical examiner.

UPDATE (WKOW) — Authorities say a 56-year-old woman is dead after she got into a crash on her bicycle on a Dane County highway.
According to Dane County sheriff’s officials, the biker didn’t stop at a stop sign on Military Ridge State Trail, at the intersection with Highway PD near Timber Lane. The woman hit an SUV that was headed west on PD around 3:45 p.m. on Sunday.
Authorities say the bicyclist was wearing a helmet, but she died at the site of the crash. The driver of the SUV was not hurt.

VERONA (WKOW) — Dane County Communications says a car hit a bicyclist at the 700 block of Highway PD in the Township of Verona.
According to Dane County Communications, there is a report of one person being injured.
The Dane County Sheriff’s Office, Verona Police, Fire, and EMS are all on the scene, and a Med Flight helicopter has been dispatched to the scene.
Highway PD is closed between Timber Lane and Gust Road.
