MADISON (WKOW) — Deputies in Dane County are looking for an inmate who has been declared AWOL.
Michael Duarte, 19, is serving a probation sentence with work release.
The Dane County Sheriff’s Office says Duarte was in the process of transferring his work release to the Sauk County Jail. When he arrived at the Sauk County Jail, Duarte failed the intake process and was directed to return to the Dane County Jail.
After leaving Sauk County, Duarte did not show up at the Dane County Jail.
Deputies say Duarte is 5’7”, 180 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone who knows where Duarte is should call 911.
