MADISON (WKOW) — An 8-year-old riding with her uncle on the Interstate near the Beltline Monday evening called 911 after their car swiped a guardrail and came to a stop on an off-ramp.
The girl told dispatchers her uncle was not moving.
When paramedics arrived , the driver was standing outside the vehicle with Wisconsin State Patrol.
Although he was alert and oriented, he was not answering questions appropriately.
Shortly after he was assisted into the ambulance, he became unresponsive. Paramedics administered Narcan, and eventually he became responsive once again.
Paramedics assessed the driver, who also denied any injuries, and even denied being in a crash.
The young passenger was not injured in the crash.
Both were taken to the hospital, where the 8-year-old was placed in the care of her mother.
