GREEN BAY (WKOW) — As the Packers prepare for their home opener on Sunday, the cooks at Lambeau Field are hard at work too.
Tuesday they showed off some of the food you’ll see at the stadium this year.
The steak and cheese stromboli and the stir fry noodle bowl are two of the new offerings this year.
There are more than a dozen new options in all.
The executive chef at Lambeau Field tells WBAY the food is meant to have the essence of Wisconsin, so they’ve still got classics like cheese and brats.
“You want to keep it in the spirit of Lambeau Field and hit all the different fans that come through the stadium. Obviously they’re well traveled so you want to keep some things that are from different regions and just Wisconsin but really keep the heart and soul of Wisconsin, too,” says Heath Barbato.
The Packers say they also offer healthier options, like salads, or dairy-free or gluten-free dishes.
