FORT ATKINSON (WKOW) — Multiple roads were closed on the south side of Fort Atkinson Tuesday night due to downed trees and wires after a strong storm hit the city.
Division Chief Tom Gerondale with the Fort Atkinson Fire Department says the damage was centered around Endl Boulevard and Highland Avenue, and outward from that area.
Gerondale says public works crews were working on clearing debris so roads could reopen and We Energies was called to address some power outages.
He says about 10 houses sustained minimal damage.
No injuries were reported, according to Gerondale.
In a Twitter post, Tim Halbach with the National Weather Service office in Milwaukee/Sullivan said he will be heading out Wednesday morning to survey “Waukesha County west toward Fort Atkinson and Belleville.”
