MADISON (WKOW) — There are renewed warnings from Madison police officers to the public to lock their vehicles and homes every night, no matter how safe they believe their neighborhood is.
Police department representatives say 322 vehicles have been reported stolen in the city as of October 1.
Now, the department is asking people to ensure not only their garages are closed at night, but their neighbors’ as well.
They also ask people who believe someone broke into their vehicle to report it to police, even if nothing was taken.
