MAUSTON (WKOW) — One man is dead after a fire in Mauston early Saturday morning.
According to a police press release, the Mauston Fire Department was sent to Prairie Street for a structure fire around 5 a.m. Once crews were able to put out the fire, they found a man inside one of the buildings.
The fire is now under investigation.
The Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation is also assisting Mauston Police in the case.
