Madison police have arrested a man who already was in custody in the Dane County Jail in connection with a robbery Dec. 11 at a credit union on Struck Street in Madison.
Rondino S. Fleming, Jr., 27, was in the jail on an unrelated charge, however police had already developed Fleming as a suspect, according to a Madison police incident report.
Fleming also is a suspect in a robbery Dec. 9 at a bank on Fish Hatchery Road in Fitchburg, according to Fitchburg police.
Police say Fleming robbed the Dane County Credit Union, 709 Struck St., shortly before 1 p.m. on Dec. 11.
At the time, police were looking for Fleming after he walked out of a Dane County Jail facility on Nov. 23.
They say he "reeked of booze" and was wearing a white hoodie with the hood up.
He passed a note to a teller, demanding money, and fled on foot with cash.
