The Dane County Medical Examiner released the name of the man killed Saturday afternoon in downtown Madison.
Aaron X. Johnson, 22, from Madison, died of "homicidal firearm violence," according to the Monday press release.
Police responded to the 100 block of North Blair Street at 3:46 for a report ofa person who had been shot.
"It just seems like an every day event," Matthew Clark,who lives a few houses down, said. "It seems like this is probably the second or third act of violence that we've seen in the last few months on Blair Street."
The medical examiner's office completed the autopsy Sunday and is continuing additional testing.
The death remains under investigation by the city of Madison Police Department and the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
