The Janesville police department said it has a suspect in the Monday morning killings of two women found near the interstate.
"We have identified a suspect, and can advise that the suspect was known to both victims," the department wrote in a release. "This investigation is still in the early stages, and the name of the suspect won't be released at this time."
Police have not made an arrest.
Brittany N. McAdory, 27, and Seairaha J. Winchester, 30, died of "homicidal firearm related trauma," according to a press release from the Rock County Medical Examiner's office.
