Suspect in Janesville killings to be extradited back to Wisconsin

Marcus Randle-El,arrestedin connection with the Feb. 10 homicide of two women in Janesville, waived extradition during a court hearing Tuesday in Chicago.

The 33-year-old Randle-El appeared in Cook County Court, according to the Cook County District Attorney's Office. He will return to Wisconsin to face charges in connection with the homicide of two women in Janesville.

Brittany N. McAdory, 27, and Seairaha J. Winchester, 30, were found shot about 3:15 a.m. on Midvale Drive on Janesville's northeast side. They later died at the hospital.

The two friends were last seen alive about 2 a.m. at the nearby travel center along Highway 14.

Their car was found about 4:30 a.m. along I-294 in Justice, Illinois. Police said they believe the killer escaped the crime scene and dumped it there.

Randle-El is facing charges of two counts of first-degree intentional homicide.

Randle-El, 33, was taken into custody Feb. 15 after he turned himself into the Chicago Police Department. Prosecutors are awaiting Randle-El's extradition back to Wisconsin.

According to Illinois Department of Corrections, Randle El had previously served time for an armed home invasion in 2016. He was sentenced to six years for that charge in Cook County and released on parole in late 2018.

Randle El was a receiver for the Badgers football team in the mid 2000s. He's the younger brother of Antwaan Randle El, who had a career in the NFL as a player and coach.

Marcus Randle El's UW career came to an end in 2007, after he was sidelined with a knee injury the previous season.
