Dane County will join a lawsuit to delay the Spring General Election.
The announcement came from Dane County Executive Joe Parisi's Twitter account Tuesday.
"I'm directing Dane Co. to file a brief in support of delaying the Spring election," Parisi wrote.
It was not immediately clear what lawsuit Parisi intended the county to support, but it is likely a federal lawsuit brought by the city of Green Bay. The municipality challenged the Wisconsin Election Commission in the Western District of Wisconsin.
Several other states have delayed their primary in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Proponents of moving the election believe the virus could spread at the polls.
Wisconsin's primary, so far, remains slated for April 7.
