Madison police see "no obvious signs of foul play" after investigating a body found in Lake Monona Friday afternoon.
A passerby spotted the adult male's body and called authorities at 12:44 p.m., according toa police incident report.
"There were no obvious signs of foul play; however, it will be up to the Dane County Medical Examiner (ME) to determine cause and manner of death," authorities said.
Police said they "tentatively identified" the man but the medical examiner will decide whether to share the name publicly after notifying the family.
The man was floating about eight feet off shore, near Law Park and Monona Terrace.
