Man arrested for ‘involvement’ in Stoughton stabbing

STOUGHTON (WKOW) -- The Stoughton Police Department made an arrest in a stabbing that happened early Monday morning.

According to police, William Skinner IV was arrested for his involvement inthe weapons offense.

Authorities were called to the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue at about 4 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found three men who appeared to be hurt after a fight.

One person was taken to the hospital with injuries "consistent with being assaulted with an edged weapon." They didn't appear to be life-threatening.

Skinner was hospitalized for injuries he received during the disturbance.

Police said at about 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, they arrested Skinner and tentatively charged him with 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety, substantial battery, burglary and bail jumping.
