MADISON (WKOW) -- A Madison man was arrested Thursday after police say he threw a hatchet at a woman's dog.
The woman was walking her dog in the 1200 block of Mound Street when her pet walked onto a yard to sniff some wood shavings. A man seated on the porch of the house yelled at her to get the dog off the lawn.
The man then tossed a hatchet, which landed a foot away from the dog.
The woman yelled, "Dude, you almost hit my dog!" She left the area and called police.
Officers found the man and arrested him for second degree recklessly endangering safety and disorderly conduct.
