Driver caught going 117 mph on county road

A Marshall man was pulled over after a Dane County Sheriff's deputy clocked him going 117 miles per hour.

The sheriff's office says 32-year-old James Clark was driving on County Trunk Highway TT near Pierceville Road in the Town of Sun Prairie Friday morning when he was stopped by the deputy. The speed limit in the area is 55 mph.

Clark was given a ticket for speeding and operating while suspended.

The sheriff's office says he could be fined more than $515 and face a 15 day license suspension just for the speeding ticket.
