Most businesses in Rock County will be allowed to open Thursday, with certain restrictions, under the county's newly released Rock County Rebound plan.
The Rock County Safer at Home Order will end at 8 a.m. on Thursday, May 21 and will be replaced with the new phased guidance.
Rock County Health Officer Marie-Noel Sandoval on Tuesday said the plan is guidance, rather than an order, so there would be no penalties for violators.
However she also said the county could issue an order in the future if the situation changes.
Among the provisions of phase one that begins Thursday:
- Long term care facilities remain off limits to visitors.
- Outdoor weddings and funerals are allowed with 10 or fewer people.
- Faith-bases gatherings: Yes, with 25% capacity, limits and physical distancing, protective measures, and best business practices
- Restaurants, bars, food trucks, & retail food dining areas: Yes, with 25% capacity limits, no self-service, and physical distancing, protective measures, and best business practices
- Salons, body art facilities, pet groomers, & spas: Yes, one client per employee, no walk-ins, and with best business practices.
