MADISON (WKOW) -- Finding a spot to park in downtown Madison may be a little easier now.
That's because the city officially opened the Wilson Street Garage.
It's at 20 East Wilson Street.
It has more than 500 public parking spots, electrical vehicle charging stations and spots for bicycles.
"This garage represents much more than a building where cars are parked. It will serve a vital role to economic vitality of downtown and provides access for residents to government offices, to local businesses, employment and entertainment," says Sabrina Tolley, assistant parking utility manager.
The Wilson Street Garage is the city parking division's first underground garage. It replaces the old Government East Garage.
