UPDATE (WKOW) -- Officials with the Lodi Fire Department think a house fire early Wednesday morning was caused by a lightning strike.
The department was called to W11360 Hwy V just before 6 a.m. When they arrived, flames were coming from the roof.
Lodi called in assistance to bring in more water because the home is in a "non-hydranted area."
No one was inside and firefighters were able to put the flames out quickly.
Fire officials believe lightning is to blame. They said a storm moved through overnight.
The house is considered a total loss.
No one was hurt.
