Police received multiple 911 calls Wednesday afternoon reporting shots being fired in two separate locations on Madison's west side.
Witnesses told police they saw gunfire near Watts Road and Gammon Road with two cars speeding from the area, according to a Madison police incident report.
A short time later, more gunshots were reported at Whitney Way and Schroeder Road, with witnesses reporting bullets being fired between two cars that appear to be similar to those described in the Watts Road and Gammon Road incident.
Multiple detectives, officers, and specialty units are actively investigating the gunfire incidents.
