MADISON (WKOW) -- Gunshots were heard in west Madison late Wednesday night, according to the Madison Police Department.
Police said three people called 911 to report hearing five or six gunshots on Park Heights Court at about 11:30 p.m.
Witnesses said they saw a dark-colored vehicle speed away, knocking over garbage cans as it left the area. They also said they saw one person running toward Elver Park.
Officers located three handgun casings.
Tuesday night, at least 63 shots were fired into a crowd of people at Garner park mourning a man killed in a shooting last month. That's less than four miles away from the shots fired incident Wednesday.
There's no word if those shootings are connected.
