Actor Nick Pasqual was arrested in Texas while attempting to flee the United States into Mexico amid accusations that he stabbed his girlfriend, award-winning Hollywood makeup artist Allie Shehorn, more than 20 times, KTLA reports.
Pasqual, 34, was charged with one count of attempted murder, one count of first-degree residential burglary with person present and one count of injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend or child's parent and accused of “inflicting great bodily injury upon the victim under circumstances involving domestic violence.” The alleged incident took place after the actor broke into Shehorn's Sunland, California, home at around 4:30 a.m. on May 23.
Pasqual allegedly stabbed Shehorn repeatedly, which caused her to suffer multiple slashes to her neck, as well as cuts to her arms and abdomen. The makeup artist, who worked on the Rebel Moon film series and the recent Mean Girls reboot, was later found in a bloody scene by her surrogate mother Christine White.
“This is not the kind of thing that should happen to anybody,” White said. "You don't think this is ever going to happen to you."
“I found her and I had to go into the bedroom where it happened,” White added. “That wasn’t a pretty sight.”
Pasqual, who is credited for roles on How I Met Your Mother and Archive 81, will be extradited back to Los Angeles County to face the charges in relation to the incident, which could carry a maximum life sentence in state prison. A GoFundMe page to support Shehorn's recovery raised more than $93.000 toward its $100,000 goal as of Thursday (May 30) morning.
