FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WKOW) -- A woman who is serving a life sentence in prison for killing and dismembering a man attacked her attorney during a hearing at the Fond du Lac County Courthouse Friday morning.
Taylor Schabusiness was convicted in the 2022 death of Shad Thyrion. She was recently charged the assault of a prison guard at Taycheedah Correctional Institution. Our affiliate WBAY captured video of the attack on the attorney at a hearing for her more recent charges.
Online court records show Schabusiness' attorney filed a request to withdraw from the case after the attack.
A criminal complaint states the attack on the prison guard happened when the guard took her to a medical room, so a nurse could treat her for a staple in her arm. Schabusiness is accused of swinging a small table at the guard.
This is the second time Schabusiness attacked her attorney. She also attacked the attorney who was defending her in her homicide case.
