Two arrests in investigation that covers multiple scenes in Madison

MADISON (WKOW) -- The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Division of Criminal Investigation confirmed Tuesday night that two suspects are in custody in an "ongoing multi-jurisdictional" investigation.

Law enforcement is not aware of any deaths associated with this investigation, according to a press release from the DOJ.

The DOJ said it is working with local and federal law enforcement agencies to carry out multiple search warrants. The other agencies include the City of Madison Police and Fire Departments, City of Middleton Police Department, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office and others.

The investigation includes multiple sites in Madison, including the 5600 block of Schroeder Road, 100 block of N. Spooner St., and the area around W. Skyline Drive and S. Highlands Avenue. Authorities are asking everyone to avoid these active scenes to allow investigators to complete their work.

The DOJ says there is no threat to public safety or to people who live near these scenes.
