SAUK COUNTY, Wis. (WKOW) -- The Sauk County Sheriff's Office reports a fatal car crash happened just after 6:30 p.m. Monday on Highway 33 near Man Mound Rd. in the Township of Greenfield.
First responders report four vehicles in the pileup. Baraboo Fire and EMS began treating patients. One driver was transported by UW-Med Flight to a hospital in Madison. Three other occupants were taken for treatment by ambulance.
A sedan traveling eastbound crossed the center line. Another vehicle swerved to miss the sedan and hit a different vehicle traveling westbound. The sedan then hit another vehicle that was traveling westbound.
The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. He is a 31-year-old Portage area man who has not yet been identified.
