Emergency declared for storm damage in Belleville

BELLEVILLE, Wis. (WKOW) — The Village of Belleville declared an emergency after severe storms damaged properties Wednesday evening.

The damage occurred on the north side of the Village of Belleville, and emergency services are requesting people to stay clear as clean-up efforts begin.

The Belleville police and fire department confirmed there were no reported injuries, although two people were displaced.

"We have several folks that live in that area that were impacted, and we were quickly able to assess that no one was injured at all tonight, which is obviously incredibly important news," said Josh Wescott, Belleville's Deputy EMS Chief.
