The Brewers saw a 4-0 lead evaporate in two innings on Tuesday night and lost their third game in a row 7-5 to the New York Mets.
The Brewers got on the board first in the third inning. Andrew McCutchen, Omar Narvaez, and Willy Adames all drove in a run to give the Brewers a 3-0 lead.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Kolten Wong singled to right field to score Willy Adames to extend the Brewers lead to 4-0. However, that lead would not last long.
Brad Boxberger relieved Hoby Milner with one out in the sixth inning. The Mets proceeded to score three runs in the inning on a Pete Alonso three-run home run. That cut the deficit to 4-3.
Taylor Rogers relieved Boxberger with one out in the seventh inning and things did not go well. He walked the first three batters he faced. He was able to strikeout Canha for the second out of the inning, but Francisco Lindor made him pay for the walks in the next at-bat. Lindor hit a grand slam to left field and the Mets took a 7-4 lead.
The Brewers scored on an RBI single in the 8th inning by Willy Adames to cut the deficit to 7-5. But it wasn't enough. The Mets won 7-5 over the Brewers.
The Brewers have lost three games in a row.
