The Sheriff's Office said they will add a second count of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, Mutilating a Corpse and Hiding a Corpse to charges against Chandler Halderson. He is already facing aset of those charges in the death of his father, Bart Halderson, who's partial remains werefound in the Town of Cottage Grove.

"We have kept the Halderson family in our thoughts and prayers throughout this investigation and we extend our continued sympathies to them," Barrett says.

Police say that the search at the Waste Management landfill in Watertown has concluded, but the search of the pond at the Halderson home continues. On July 28, Barrett says remains were found at the Halderson property but those have not yet been identified. It's the third location in this case where remains have been found.

Chandler Halderson, 23, initiallyreported his parents missingat the beginning of July, but was soon after arrested forproviding false informationto police. He is already bound over to trial in his father's death, and is scheduled to be in court again in September.

Barrett nor prosecutors have offered any motive for why Halderson allegedly killed his parents and dismembered their bodies.

Wipp, his wife and children were neighbors to the Halderson family for a number of years. Wipp says his reflections on Krista and Chandler Halderson provide no answers.

"Mother, son," Wipp says. "Nothing out of the ordinary. Nothing stood out."
