Three teenagers hurt in drive-by shooting during house party in McFarland

MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police are investigating at attempted homicide after multiple gunshots late Friday night.

The shooting happened around 11:20 p.m. Friday in the 5000 block of Meinders Road in McFarland, a residential area off Highway 51 south of the Beltline.

Sgt. Galen Wiering with the Madison Police Department says three teenagers were shot. They are around 16 or 17 years old.

Officers say they found one victim at the scene and another at a nearby business that was closed at the time. The third victim took themselves to a local hospital.

Police say all of the victims will likely survive.

Sgt. Wiering says the early investigation shows there was a house party in that area when someone in a car drove by and shot at the people there.

 No arrests reported.
