Authorities identify victims in deadly crash near Lodi

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Wis. (WKOW) -- The Columbia County Sheriff's Office identified the five victims in a deadly crash that happened late Sunday morning on Highway 60 in the Town of West Point.

The sheriff's office believes a 2006 Lincoln passenger car crossed the center line and hit a 2014 Chevrolet pick-up nearly head on. At the time of the crash, it was raining, but investigators are uncertain at this time if weather was a factor.

Failure to use headlights and wear seatbelts are factors in this crash, the sheriff's office reported.

The driver of the Chevrolet truck was identified as Robin Purcell, 70, of Prairie Du Sac.

The driver of the Lincoln was identified as a 17-year-old girl from Merrimac.

The passengers of the passenger car were identified as Shain Scoville, 42, of Merrimac; Kaiyzer Ballweg, 26, of Sauk City; and Julie Scoville, 62, of Blue Mounds.

The crash remains under investigation.
